I began hosting Trivia because I wanted to slow down my pace of performing as a professional musician. Inspired by my friends and colleagues, Curtis Earth and Mike Horn of Earth Trivia, I started with one game a week when I introduced The Rams Head Roadhouse to its first weekly Trivia Game.  I hosted their quiz event for 2 years before moving to DC. I then began establishing weekly shows in different venues around the Washington area including restaurant landmarks like the Cowboy Cafe, Whitlow’s On Wilson and several of the Lost Dog Cafes.

At first I didn’t realize how much enjoyment there would be in developing weekly games, coming with up new ideas and challenging myself, and the audiences, to try new things. I soon discovered that I really enjoyed all of the creativity that comes with being a host and a game designer. The extra treat is that I get to write the theme music that’s used for some of the different game segments like: “The Betty White Time Machine”, “Word Jumble”, and “Weird Names Of The World”. I’ll even occasionally host a live music round or offer an offbeat segment to shake things up and make the games more interesting.

I love seeing teams enjoy the game while interacting with each other. You don’t have to be a Trivia expert to enjoy our format. What’s most important to me is that you’re having fun with friends and family, and you want to come back and do it again!!

Our work group had a blast with Damion’s virtual trivia games, so we brought him back again for our boss’s farewell party! “We have been using Wolfe Trivia now for many years and are so fortunate to have found Damion. His unique style of entertaining turns every trivia night into so much more. Even with pivoting to continue trivia online as our restaurants transitioned through the last year, our guests have still flocked to attend and it has really helped to keep our sales up during a difficult year. 5 stars 10/10 Wolfe Trivia is the best!”
